Q&A

What can The Appscript Architects do for my company?

We build easy to use systems by connecting the tools of Google. These are to automate company data into dashboards. So that you only need to open your laptop and look at the graphs before entering a meeting.

Do you build more than data automation systems?

Yes, we can build ERP systems using Gmail and Docs. These are often added on top of the data automation system by ways of notifying you on client statuses, or handing out progress reports to clients. Furthermore, we build spreadsheet automations on top of existing sheets. Buttons that perform an action, or custom functions that run on an interval or trigger.

How do you do that?

We use Google Cloud Computing, you would need a Google account and we build it in your Workspace, in Google Sheets where we add custom programming that executes on a specific time or interval. By using Google Cloud you get the benefit of using highly professional and efficient software like all the big corporations for a price which fits your business. We can show you right now using our showcase model.

Do you sell software?

No, we don’t sell software. We do have a showcase model where people can see an example of what we can do. But we write custom code depending on the client’s preferences and necessities. Our focus is to build an easy to use system by doing small deliveries with small upgrades each time to make the system agile and easy to learn so that you can use it from the first day.

How do you differentiate from the other companies?

We like to stay small and only facilitate a few clients at a time. This allows us to study each company in detail and better build something which fits exactly their needs. Provide highly personal and qualitative account management. With our continuous service we’re there to facilitate your technical needs like an out of house tech team while your company keeps growing.

How do you work?

We work in four phases. In the consideration phase we work together in defining the scope of the project, here we also check your data quality if there is a cleanup necessary. This phase ends with a project scope defined and signed.

The Data cleanup phase is optional, in this phase we cycle through cleaning up the data, notifying you of the progress and meetings where we discuss discrepancies for the next cleanup cycle. When the data is structured well enough to build a system with it we move to the next phase.

In the infrastructure phase we set up the database and all the data flows towards it, we automate and test these flows as well as build the dashboard and calculate the KPIs. We have meetings to discuss the layout of the dashboard, how you want to calculate certain KPIs as well as if you have considered other metrics. This phase ends with the entire system set up, your dashboard ready to be used and you and your team trained on how to use the system.

With the whole system set up we end in the continuous service phase. Here we hold working sessions with you on an interval you decide. During the working session we look together at what needs arise and how best to service those, how you can think like us to solve your business requirements in Google Sheets and how to use AI to write the computer code which performs these automations.

What can we expect from the post delivery service? Is there some kind of maintenance fee?

We like to make the system modular so that it is built agile, scalable and easy to use. Once we have made the main delivery, we will give you a period of time to test the system to fix possible errors (bugs). But even if that time is finished, we will always be available for a new meeting to discuss a new upgrade or modification on the system. These new upgrades and modifications will count as a new project.

If I am an Excel user, will I lose functionalities on the change to Google Sheets?

No, Google Sheets have all the main functionalities of Excel. Besides, Google’s ecosystem is very well connected though APIs with code that is easily written. This code or script is written in Google Apps Script, which is more friendly than Excel’s Visual Basic. So making new macros is simpler than with Excel.
